Lafayette produced plenty of offense but didn’t get enough pitching or defense against Center Hill in its home opener on Friday night, falling to the Mustangs 16-11 for its first loss of the season.

          Corinth blows past Commodores

          CORINTH — The Lafayette Commodores were hoping to end a two-game losing streak and keep their season alive Tuesday night when they faced the Corinth Warriors in the opening round of the MHSAA Class 4A playoffs. Neither came true as the Warriors defeated Lafayette in dominant fashion by a score of 81-50 at the Corinth High gym. (February 26, 2014, Page 6)
