Mayers, Rebels eliminate Kentucky

VIDEO BLOG: HOOVER, Ala. — Good morning from the Hoover Metropolitan Stadium, the site of the annual Southeastern Conference Baseball Tournament.

The “breakfast game,” to open the six-day event pits two familiar opponents in 11th-seed Kentucky (30-24 overall, 11-19 SEC) against 6th-seed Ole Miss (36-20, 15-15).

The winner advances to face 3rd-seed Arkansas while the loser’s tournament is done.

        No. 23 Rebs get offensive to avoid sweep

        BLOG: No. 23 Ole Miss turned the tables on No. 2 LSU Saturday.

        The Rebels hit a season-high four home runs to up-end the Tigers 11-9. With the win, the Rebels secured the sixth-seed in the upcoming Southeastern Conference Tournament in Hoover, Ala., and will face 11th-seed Kentucky.             Rally ‘Cats do it again, take series at No. 18 Ole Miss
