Kennon Observatory

Astronomy Night

Kennon Observatory at Ole Miss will host a free public viewing of the sky Friday from 7:30 to 10 p.m. Participants will observe the Moon, Mars and other objects of interest. Viewers may get a glimpse of Saturn after 9. Observations are possible only if the weather cooperates. In case the weather is cloudy or rainy, there can be no observation. In that case, some physics demonstrations will be available for viewing for those interested. Families and children are welcome. (March 17, 2010)
