EAGLE a family affair for eight decades

Co-Publisher Rita Vasilyev takes a look back at her family’s involvement with The Oxford EAGLE from the day her mother, Nina Goolsby, walked into the paper office in 1942 through these final days before the Goolsby/Vasilyev and Phillips family transfers ownership of the paper to Boone Newspapers. She talks about her days helping in all phases of putting out the paper, about her family’s involvement with The EAGLE and about the relationship the paper has, and she hopes will continue, with the LOU community for many decades to come. (April 30, 2014, Page 4)
