Historic bridge can be yours
The Mississippi Department of Transportation is looking for individuals or organizations interested in being the new owner of the Highway 7 Tallahatchie River Steel Bridge. Since the bride is considered historical, MDOT must meet federal guidelines to have the bridge. MDOT is expected to start construction on a new bridge in early 2013. (November 28, 2012, Page 1)
