Urban Bush Women to inspire Oxford

OXFORD TOWN – Urban Bush Women, a contemporary dance company, is slated to perform Jan. 17 at the University of Mississippi’s Gertrude C. Ford Center for the Performing Arts. In addition to the performance on Monday, the company will be conducting free workshops in different areas of the community and a community Pot-luck Dinner will be held at 6 p.m. at The Powerhouse.     Oxford Ballet Presents the ‘Nutcracker Ballet’ this weekend

    OXFORD TOWN – Oxford Ballet presents its fourth version of the “Nutcracker Ballet” on Dec. 11-12 at the Ford Center. Artistic Director Genevieve Fortner has assembled a group of world class, nationally recognized dancers as well as local actors and dancers to fill the cast.       Synergy Brass Quintet rings in season at Ford Center

        ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’ set for Ford Center

        OXFORD TOWN – A new and imaginative performance of “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” plays at the University of Mississippi’s Gertrude C.               Ford Center releases awesome 2010-11 schedule

              OXFORD TOWN –The Gertrude C. Ford Center for the Performing Arts brings classic Broadway, fun family shows and big-name performers to the University of Mississippi for the 2010-11 season. Singer Amy Grant (pictured) will perform on Friday, Oct. 8, at 8 p.m. Additional Ford Series performances, all beginning at 8 p.m., include the musicals “Fiddler on the Roof” on Nov. 9, “Oklahoma!” on Nov. 19, “Forever Plaid” on Jan. 22 and “A Chorus Line” on March 26, just to name a few.                 Golden Dragons invade Ford Center

                    Annual benefit concert Tuesday

                    OXFORD TOWN – Comprised of both the symphonic band and followed by the wind ensemble, The Pride of the South Ole Miss band will hold its annual benefit concert at the Gertrude C.
