Shakespeare Festival continues with ‘The Sound Of Music’

OXFORD TOWN – Rodgers and Hammerstein’s enduring musical, “The Sound of Music,” opens June 28 as part of the 2012 Oxford Shakespeare Festival.     The Glenn Miller Orchestra returns to the Ford Center

    OXFORD TOWN – The Glenn Miller Orchestra returns to the University of Mississippi’s Gertrude C.       Pride of the South Band hosts fundraising concert at the Ford Center

      OXFORD TOWN – The Pride of the South Marching Band featuring the UM Wind Ensemble is hosting a concert fundraiser on April 24, at 7:30 p.m. at the Ford Center. Admission is free but donations will be accepted as this is a major fundraiser for the hardest working band in the south.         Gertrude Ford Center wraps up its season tonight with Bach’s “Mass in B Minor”

          Vienna Boys Choir set for Ford Center Friday, March 2

            Bruce Levingston returns to Ole Miss for a night of classical elegance

            OXFORD TOWN – Acclaimed pianist and Mississippi native Bruce Levingston returns to the University of Mississippi this week for a concert at Gertrude C. Ford Center for the Performing Arts tonight (Thursday, Feb. 2). The concert, set for 7, also features renowned violinist Colin Jacobsen and the Brooklyn Rider String Quartet.               Westminster Choir set for Ford Center

              OXFORD TOWN – The Westminster Choir will present a concert entitled “Light of a Clear Blue Morning: Sound and Memory” on Saturday, Jan. 7, at 7 p.m. at the Gertrude C. Ford Center for the Performing Arts. The concert is free and open to the public.
