        Woman killed in wreck

        A 23-year-old woman was killed Monday in an early-morning wreck. According to the Mississippi Highway Patrol, Ariel “Channing” Mitchell Rodgers was traveling on Highway 328 at 7:13 a.m. when she lost control of her vehicle and struck a tree.           LHS grad, 19, killed in wreck

          Demetrius Owens, 19, of Lafayette County was killed Friday morning when the car he was a passenger in overturned, throwing him out of the vehicle. Funeral arrangements are incomplete with Hodges-Freeman Funeral Home of Oxford. (more…) (May 27, 2011)

            WV teen killed in weekend wreck

            A Water Valley High School graduate was killed late early Sunday morning when his vehicle ran off the road for unknown reasons.

            Jeremy Michael Barber, 19, was pronounced dead by Yalobusha County coroner Ronnie Stark just after midnight Sunday on Highway 32 East.

            Barber suffered massive trauma during the one-vehicle wreck. It was unknown this morning what caused Barber to lose control of his vehicle. (November 15, 2010, Page 2A)

              Wreck claims life

              Scott Franklin, 35, was killed Monday night when he lost control of his pickup while traveling on County Road 143 off Old Sardis Road, according to Lafayette County Sheriff’s Investigator Scott Mills.
