Doggy deadline for Double Decker

The city approved a new regulation for dogs to be restricted from the Square during the Double Decker Arts Festival in April after 2 p.m. The time was set to coincide with the ending of the Best Dressed Pet contest.

    Double Decker: Prepare to party

    The Oxford Convention and Visitors Bureau has released its full music lineup for the 15th annual Double Decker Arts Festival on April 24. Along with headliners Sharon Jones and the Dap Kings, music acts will include: the Felice Brothers, Jimbo Mathus, Mayhem String Band, Those Darlin’s, Young Buffalo, Captain Midnight, Group Fantasma, Cornmeal, Wiley and the Checkmates, My Name is John Michael, A.A.       Would later Double Decker be any better?

      After earning a reprieve from having to compete with the Ole Miss spring football game, now Double Decker officials are hearing from some local businesses that they’d like to see the local festival, always held on the final weekend of April, moved to a summer date.         Festival lineup in place

        Sharon Jones and the Dap Kings will headline the 2010 Double Decker Arts Festival on April 24. Other bands in the lineup include Jimbo Mathus, Those Darlins, Wiley and the Checkmates, American Aquarium, The Felice Brothers and Groupo Fantasma.           Grove Bowl-Double Decker conflict arises

          OPINION – Who would ever have imagined that the annual Red-Blue spring football game, known as the Grove Bowl, would be scheduled on the same Saturday as the popular Double Decker Arts Festival? It has happened this year, however, and local businesses and merchants will have one less “big weekend” in the spring. (January 11, 2010, Page 4)
