Dog’s health issues persist after abuse

    Lafayette Sheriff’s Department investigating two dog killings

    Lafayette County Crimestoppers is offering two $500 rewards for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for killing two dogs in the last week in separate incidents. One dog was shot and one was found on fire inside of a box on the road. (January 9, 2012, Page 2)

      Fund, website set up to aid pup’s owner

      A local resident has set up a fund and a website to help raise funds and awareness about animal cruelty after a University of Mississippi student’s dog, Harrison, was shot in front of this home a month ago. Harrison died but his owner, Sarah Carey has $16,000 in vet bills to pay off. (November 23, 2011, Page 2A)
