Writer Dean Faulkner Wells dies at 75
Dean Faulkner Wells, 75, died on Wednesday afternoon at Baptist Memorial Hospital -North Mississippi. Visitation will be from 5-8 this evening at the Wells home, 510 S. Lamar Boulevard. A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Oxford Memorial Cemetery.

OXFORD TOWN – An Oxford icon, Dean Faulkner Wells, passed away on Wednesday, July 27, just months after her memoir “Every Day By The Sun” published and was featured on the cover of Oxford Town. OT columnist and long time friend of the Wells family, Jim Dees, has gathered photos and passages from interviews and the late author’s’ book to pay tribute to one of Oxford’s favorite daughters who is already greatly missed. Dean Faulkner Wells dies at 75
Dean Faulkner Wells, 75, a writer and editor, died Wednesday afternoon at Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississippi in Oxford surrounded by family and close friends. She had been placed on life support after suffering a stroke.
The niece of Nobel-prize winning author William Faulkner, Wells was the last surviving member of the children of William Faulkner and his siblings.

Dean Faulkner Wells releases memoir
OXFORD TOWN – Local author Dean Faulkner Wells releases and signs her memoir about growing up Faulkner titled “Every Day By The Sun” on Saturday, March 19, at the Lyric Theater. Authors Franklin, Pendarvis, Durkee, Thompson and others are scheduled read from the book.
