Rebels looking to do better in Final Four
Taking the right approach, without stressing his team in the process, is the goal of Ole Miss men’s basketball coach Andy Kennedy over the next 36 hours as they prepare to meet Dayton in the Men’s National Invitation Tournament Final Four.
Kennedy’s Rebels are making a return trip to New York for the NIT Final Four Tuesday, and he said before the team left for the “Big Apple” that staying focused without stressing them out too much will be paramount for his young group. (March 29, 2010, Page 1B)
White taking ownership of offense
There’s a reason one particular quote from the most recent “30 for 30″ documentary by ESPN stood out to Mississippi sophomore guard Terrico White.
Toward the end of the “Winning Time: Reggie Miller vs. The New York Knicks” documentary, Miller says, “All the great players have always played great in this building. Anytime I played in the (Madison Square) Garden, something special was going to happen.”
