One Faulkner lawsuit settled
One of two lawsuits filed recently by the man who owns the rights to William Faulkner’s work has been settled out of court. Lee Caplin said he settled with The Washing Post and Northtrop in December and the case has been dismissed, however his suit against Sony Classic Pictures is continuing. (January 9, 2013, Page 1,2)
William Faulkner vs. Woody Allen
A lawsuit against Sony Pictures Classic was filed in Oxford on Thursday by Faulkner Literary Rights LLC, claiming a Woody Allen film violated copyright laws when they used a quote from one of Faulkner’s books. (October 26, 2012, Page 1A, 8A)
