The new intersection will have temporary traffic signals in place while waiting for the permanent signals to be installed. Work will continue in the medians along Highway 6 and the final lift of asphalt will be installed once the permanent traffic signals are in place, according to Mississippi Department of Transportation spokesman Jason Scott.
