Friday night it was clear to see why Aberdeen’s Channing Ward is already one of the top recruits out of the state of Mississippi for the 2012 recruiting class.
Ward personifies the phrase “versatile athlete” in virtually every sense of the word.

Nutt keeps team going through slow start to year
Ole Miss coach Houston Nutt was visibly more enthusiastic about the way his Rebels played their second Southeastern Conference game Saturday at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium.

Language crucial, but do we need all these new words?
Local columnist T.J. Ray has always stressed the importance of language, but he’s getting a little bothered by some of the words that are working their way into everyday use. He points to words like “modality,” “incent,” “analyzation,” “athleticism” and “physicality” as examples with most seeming to owe their popularity to TV announcers. (October 1, 2010, Page 4A)
