Dorothy Beatrice Coker Clark — 93, died Thursday, April 23, 2015, at Fairhope Health and Rehab in Fairhope, Ala. A private graveside service will be held at Oxford Memorial Cemetery with Rev. Bill Barksdale officiating. Waller Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Sara Pryor Mauldin — 75, died Saturday, April 25, 2015, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississippi in Oxford. Arrangements are incomplete with Waller Funeral Home.

Bobbye Jean Rush — 77, of Oxford and Burdette, Ark., died Friday, April 24, 2015, in Burdette. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Roller-Swift Funeral Home Chapel in Osceola, Ark., with burial in Mississippi County Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Tuesday from noon-2 p.m. at the funeral home.

Theodore Steele (Ted) Todd —  63, died unexpectedly on Thursday, April 9, 2015, in Oxford. No funeral is scheduled, but a memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. May 10 at the Eagles Lodge, 16801 E Sprague, in Spokane, Wash. The service will include musical performances and remembrances of Todd. The Inland Empire Blues Society will also be on hand for memberships, renewals and donations in honor of Todd.

Virginia “Sis” Tucker — 78, died Friday, April 24, 2015, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississippi in Oxford. Funeral services will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Wells Funeral Home Chapel in Batesville with the Rev. Shane Crawford officiating. Interment will follow in Forrest Memorial Park in Batesville. The family will receive friends today from 5-8 p.m.

    Stephanie Beaver Lawson — 38, died Thursday, April 2, 2015, at University Methodist Hospital in Memphis. A memorial service was held Saturday in Batesville. Coleman Funeral Home is in charge of local arrangements.

    Esther Candy Earl Fudge Slay — 86, died Friday, April 10, 2015, at her home in Oxford. A graveside service will be held Monday at 2:30 p.m. in Oxford Memorial Cemetery with the Rev. Robert Allen officiating. A memorial service will follow at 3 p.m. at First Baptist Church, with the family receiving visitors upon completion of the service. Waller Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

    James Edward Spence — 74, died Friday, April 10, 2015, at the Mississippi State Veterans Home in Oxford. Services will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. in the chapel of Waller Funeral Home with the Rev. Roger Howell officiating. Burial will follow in Tishomingo Cemetery in Tishomingo County at 1 p.m. Visitation will be held Monday from 4-7 p.m. at Waller Funeral Home.

      Esther Fudge Slay, 86 — died Friday, April 10, 2015 at her home in Oxford. Arrangements are incomplete with Waller Funeral Home.

        Kimberly Marie Washetas — 57, a native of Illinois and resident of Oxford, MS, died suddenly on Saturday, April 4, 2015, at her home. A private memorial service is being planned, and details will be provided by her immediate family. Coleman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

          Bennie Watts — 72, died Monday, April 6, 2015, at his home in Water Valley. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Henry Chapel of Seven Oaks Funeral Home in Water Valley with Bro. E.J. Bratcher officiating. Burial will follow in the Oak Hill Cemetery in Water Valley. Visitation will be Wednesday from 1-2 p.m. at Seven Oaks Funeral Home.

The funeral is scheduled for today at 1:30 p.m. at Oxford Church of Christ. The burial will be at Pine Bluff Church of Christ, on Highway, 334, two miles west of Toccopola, with a reception to follow in the Pine Bluff Church of Christ Fellowship Hall. Bro.                 Leatrice Randle Griffin — 100, passed away at her home in Coffeeville on Thursday, March 26, 2015.  Services were held Saturday at First Baptist Church in Coffeeville with Brother Donnie Stewart and Brother Daniel Hathorne officiating.  McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service of Grenada was in charge of arrangements.

                Mary Ann Morgan King — 80, died Friday, March 27, 2015, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississippi in Oxford. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday at 2 p.m. in St. Peter’s Cemetery in Oxford. Visitation will held Monday from 5-7 p.m.at Waller Funeral Home in Oxford.

                Lisa Stark Melton — 43, died Friday evening, March 27, 2015, at Baptist-DeSoto Hospital in Southaven. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Wells Funeral Home Chapel in Batesville with interment to follow in Forrest Memorial Park in Batesville. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Sunday at Wells Funeral Home, which is in charge of arrangements.
