Lafayette County will be under a winter weather advisory starting at noon Friday and running through about 9 p.m. National Weather Service Meteorologist Zach Maye said Lafayette County could see about a quarter-inch of ice accumulating on trees and power lines Friday afternoon. Tropical Storm Karen is not expected to affect the LOU community but we will still get a fair share of rain as a cold front moves into the area Saturday.
A cold front moving into the area tonight is expected to bring thunderstorms that could produce hail, damaging winds and possibly a tornado.
