Holloway leaving Rebels to be closer to daughter
A decision to get closer to home has left the Ole Miss Rebels and coach Andy Kennedy without a significant starter and the team’s leading rebounder for the 2010-11 season.
Sophomore forward Murphy Holloway told Kennedy that he was planning to transfer from Ole Miss Friday so that he could be closer to his infant daughter, who is currently living with Holloway’s mother and his girlfriend in South Carolina. Holloway, who is a native of Irmo, S.C., said the decision to leave Oxford and his teammates was tough. (May 3, 2010, Page 1B)
