Gibbs’ skills make him prime recruit

A lot has been made about the new BBCOR bats and their impact on power numbers at the college levels.

What those bats have also done is put a premium on players who can play “small ball.”

One player who could benefit greatly from the switch is Oxford’s Luke Gibbs.

    Hines an inspiration for OM softball team

    Haley Hines, a patient at St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, threw out the ceremonial first pitch Friday at the start of the Red & Blue Classic. Hines was diagnosed with medulloblastoma, a type of cancerous brain tumor, in Sept. 2009 and moved to Memphis with her family from Florida to receive treatment. (March 1, 2010, Page 10)
