Baptist buyout nears completion

The sale of the Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississppi’s current location back to Baptist is progressing along, according to County Attorney David O’Donnell, who provided and update to the Lafayette County Board of Supervisors Tuesday during a meeting. (July 13, 2011, Page 2)

    A new hospital by 2016?

    Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississippi, Oxford Board of Aldermen and Lafayette County Board of Supervisors are working to close the final sale of the hospital by July 31 with plans to have the new building ready to move in within five years. (June 21, 2011, Page 1)

              WV woman killed in one-car wreck

              At 3:30 p.m. on County Road 220, about five miles outside of the Water Valley city limits, the Yalobusha County Sheriff’s Department responded to a the one-vehicle wreck where they found Joyce Bardo, 51, laying outside of her vehicle. She was taken to Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississippi where she later died from her injuries. (April 15, 2011, Page 2A)
