Legislators need to work this conflict out
There’s a new “R” word being thrown around that has folks up in arms – “redistricting.” State legislators cannot agree on new district lines for the state House and Senate, and now it appears some members of the House will be joining a lawsuit that could involve the Senate. Court to hear arguments in congressional size lawsuit
Plaintiffs in a lawsuit challenging the constitutionality of a law freezing the number of representatives in the U.S. House will be able to argue their case before three U.S. federal judges in Oxford later this month. (May 18, 2010, Page 2)
