Rebels lose Temple, Dorsey for season

Adding insult to the 52-7 loss to No. 2 Alabama Saturday, Ole Miss will be without two of its senior leaders for the remainder of the season.

Cornerback Marcus Temple was injured early during Saturday’s game at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium with what Ole Miss coach Houston Nutt called a broken ankle, while defensive end Wayne Dorsey went down in the third quarter with a broken arm. (more…) (October 17, 2011, Page 1B)

      Complacency still the Tide’s toughest opponent

      To listen to Alabama head coach Nick Saban, you wouldn’t know there’s a coaching hot seat in Oxford this season.

            Rebs fall behind, lose series to Alabama

            Despite what Ole Miss coach Mike Bianco considered an improved day at the plate on Sunday, the Rebels were unable to claim their first Southeastern Conference series of the season, falling to Alabama 6-4.

            Ole Miss fell behind early to the Tide and was never able to get within two runs of their SEC-West rival. (March 21, 2011, Page 1B)
