    Driver gets 12 years in Wheats’ deaths

    On the day after what would have been Sarah Wheats’ 24th birthday, her family spent Monday morning at the Lafayette County Courthouse where the man responsible for her death, and the death of her brother John William Wheat, was sentenced to 12 years in prison. (September 24, 2013, Page 1, 2)

      Court hearing in Strickland case set Monday

      The man accused of killing a brother and sister last year after allegedly driving under the influence of a variety of drugs is set to appear in court Monday for a hearing where court records indicate he could plead guilty to at least one count of aggravated DUI. (September 20, 2013, Page 2A)

        Plea deal possible?

        According to court records in a wrongful death suit filed by the mother of the late University of Mississippi students, John and Sarah Wheat who were killed in October, the man charged in their death is expected to plea guilty to one charge of aggravated DUI. (August 15, 2013, Page 1A, 2A)

            Strickland DUI at time of wreck
