Land rezoning for shopping center

The Oxford Board of Aldermen voted for two ordinance changes during its regular meeting Tuesday with one allowing for the rezoning of property off Highway 7 for a new shopping center and the other granting all citizens the right to apply for an appeal of a decision of the city’s historic preservation commissions. (April 16, 2014, Page 1, 7)

Rezoning request dies for lack of motion

The Oxford Board of Aldermen denied a request Tuesday by landowner Kenny Coleman to rezone 64 acres located between South Lamar Boulevard and Highway 7 South from single-family homes to multi-family units.
