  • Mary Coffey Bonds — 95, died Friday, June 1, 2012, at Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupelo. Services were held this morning at Philadelphia Baptist Church. Burial followed in Philadelphia Cemetery. Waller Funeral Home of Oxford was in charge of arrangements.
  • Bessie Lou Dunn Goodwin — 61, died Thursday, May 30, 2012, at her home in Water Valley. Graveside services were held this morning in the Mt. Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery in Calhoun County. Seven Oaks Funeral Home of Water Valley was in charge of arrangements.
  • Annie Rose White House — 74, died Saturday, June 2, 2012, at her residence. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Tutor Memorial Funeral Home in Pontotoc. Burial will be held at Warren Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 this evening and noon until service time Tuesday, all at the funeral home.
  • John Pilkington Jr. — 93, died today at his home in Oxford. Arrangements are incomplete with Waller Funeral Home of Oxford.
  • Sylvia Lanan Tutor Plunk — 51, died Sunday, June 3, 2012, at her home in Oxford. Services will be held at 5 p.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Waller Funeral Home in Oxford. Visitation will be held from 4:30 until 7 this evening at the funeral home.
  • Guy Thomas Ricker — 67, died Saturday, June 2, 2012, at his home in Oxford. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Taylor Methodist Church. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the service at the church. Waller Funeral Home of Oxford is in charge of arrangements.
  • Martha Faye Flippo Turman — 62, died Thursday, May 31, 2012, at her home in Oxford. Services were held Sunday at Pope Baptist Church. Burial followed in Antioch Cemetery in Bruce. Wells Funeral Home of Batesville was in charge of arrangements.
  • Timothy B. White — 54, died Friday, June 1, 2012, at the Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupelo. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Waller Funeral Home Chapel in Oxford. Burial will follow in Kingdom Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 6 this evening at Waller Funeral Home.

  • Lillian Anne Marie Saxton and Danielle Anne Marie Saxton — infant twin daughters of Harley David and Amy Marie Saxton of Water Valley, were born Thursday, March 22, 2012, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in New Albany, and died the same day. Graveside services were held Sunday in Oak Hill Cemetery in Water Valley, with Bro. Keith Burney officiating. Seven Oaks Funeral Home of Water Valley was in charge of arrangements.

  • Essie Mae Jones — 79, died Tuesday, Jan. 17, 2012, at Graceland Care Center in Oxford. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Jordan Chapel C.M.E Church.
