Athletes roll in for Oxford’s first Endurance Weekend

Kid’s Day

The Tau Eta Chapter of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Inc. is hosting its annual Kid’s Day event on Saturday at Stone Park in Oxford. This event will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Children of all ages are invited to come out for a day of food, fun and entertainment with the ladies of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority.

The purpose of Kid’s Day is for the enjoyment of the children of the Lafayette-Oxford-University area and other surrounding areas. There will be cotton candy, face painting, outdoor games, board games, a moon bounce and much more.

Kid’s Day is the biggest event of the year hosted by the ladies of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority. If it rains, the event will be moved to the Turner Center at the University of Mississippi. (April 15, 2010)

WVHS nips Oxford in extra innings

PREP SOFTBALL — The Water Valley Lady Blue Devils overcame bitterly cold temperatures to defeat the Oxford Lady Chargers 16-15 in the fastpitch softball opener for both teams Tuesday night at Stone Park. Courtney True drove in the game-winning RBI for the Lady Blue Devils in the top of the eighth inning, while pitcher Kelsey Kimzey secured the win in the circle after fielding a ground ball she coaxed OHS into hitting in the bottom of the frame. (March 2, 2010, Page 9)
