  • Richard “Rick” Edward Page Sr. — 75, died Wednesday, Sept. 22, 2010. A Celebration of Life service will be held Sunday at the Page residence at 256 Huckleberry Lane in the Boatlanding community. Seven Oaks Funeral Home of Water Valley assisted with the arrangements.
  • Bettie Lue Peel — 57, died Sunday, Sept. 19, 2010. Services will be held at noon Saturday at Harrisonville MB Church in Oxford, with the Rev. F.C. Kelson officiating. Burial will follow in Harrisonville Cemetery. Kenneth I. Roberson Funeral Home of Pontotoc is in charge of the arrangements.

  • James Ellis Baker — 59, died Sunday, Sept. 19, 2010. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Parker Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Bruce. Burial will follow in the Banner Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 this evening at the funeral home.
  • John L. Cherry — 77, died Thursday, Sept. 16, 2010. Services were held this morning in the Coleman Funeral Home Chapel. Burial followed in the Veterans Garden of the Garden of Memories at Coleman Funeral Home of Oxford.
  • Edith Lucille Dickey — 71, died Friday, Sept. 17, 2010. Services were held Sunday in the Henry Chapel of Seven Oaks Funeral Home in Water Valley. Burial followed at Elam Cemetery in Yalobusha County.
  • Susan Varas Hannah — 64, died Friday, Sept. 17, 2010. Services will be held at 2 this afternoon in the chapel of Waller Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Oxford Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be held for two hours prior to the service at the funeral home.
  • Harry K. Jennings Sr. — died Friday, Sept. 17, 2010. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Forest Hill Cemetery East in Memphis. Coleman Funeral Home of Oxford is in charge of arrangements.
  • Bettie Peel — 57, formerly of Oxford, died Sunday  in Grand Rapids, Mich. Arrangements are incomplete with Kenneth I. Roberson Funeral Home of Pontotoc.
  • William Travis “Billy” Rutledge — 88, died Thursday, Sept. 16, 2010, at his home in Oxford. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at McMillan Funeral Home Chapel in Booneville, with Bro. Bobby Hankins officiating. Burial will follow in Booneville Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 until 8 this evening and until service time Tuesday at the funeral home.
