  • Lucile F. Cross — 90, died Thursday, Sept. 22, 2011, at the Graceland Care Center in Oxford. A private family memorial service will be held in Birmingham, Ala., at a later date. Browning Funeral Home in Pontotoc is in charge of the local arrangements.
  • Lennie Mae Dickey — died Monday in Horn Lake. Arrangements are incomplete with Seven Oaks Funeral Home in Water Valley.
  • Karol Jean Voge — 69, died Saturday, Sept. 24, 2011, at her sister’s home in Oxford. Services will be held at 4 p.m. Thursday at First Presbyterian Church, with Dr. Tom Groome officiating and Cynthia Coburn will deliver a eulogy. Burial will follow in Tupelo Memorial Park. Visitation will be held for two hours prior to the service in McFadden Hall of the church. W. E. Pegues Funeral Directors is in charge of the arrangements.

  • Danny Lee Payton Sr. — 52, died Thursday, Sept. 15, 2011, at his home in Oxford. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday in the Coleman Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Garden of Memories located at the funeral home. Visitation will be held from 1 to 5 this afternoon at the funeral home.
  • Billie Maude Green Winters — 79, died Wednesday, Sept. 14, 2011, at her home in Water Valley. Services were held Saturday at Seven Oaks Funeral Home in Water Valley. Burial followed in the Oak Hill Cemetery in Water Valley.
