Services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday in the Henry Chapel of the Seven Oaks Funeral Home in Water Valley. Burial will follow in the Coffeeville City Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 this evening at the funeral home.
  • David Talbert Dotson — 93, died Monday, July 21, 2014, in the VA Medical Center in 
Jackson. Services will be held 11 a.m. Monday at First Presbyterian Church in 
Winona. A graveside service with military honors will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held for two hours prior to the service at the church. Oliver Funeral Home of Winona is in charge of arrangements.
  • Richard Jennings Field Jr. — 87, died Tuesday, July 22, 2014, at home. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Thompson Memorial Presbyterian Church in Centreville. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 this evening at the church. Newman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
  • Ray Elisha Slaughter Jr. — 67, died Tuesday, July 22, 2014, at Yalobusha General Hospital in Water Valley. Full military honor services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Wells Funeral Home Chapel in Batesville. Burial will follow in the veteran’s section of Forrest Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 this evening at the funeral home.
  • Robert Eugene Williams — 55, died Thursday, July 17, 2014, at Methodist University Hospital- Memphis. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at Philadelphia M.B. Church in Oxford. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday at the Serenity-Martin Funeral Home Chapel in Oxford.

  • Martha Lee Reed Vinograd— 89, died Wednesday, July 16, 2014, at St. David’s North Austin Medical Center, Austin, Texas. The burial will be in Marlborough Cemetery in Alliance, Ohio.  A memorial service will be held from 3 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, July 30, at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Oxford.
