Rooster’s to host genuine Memphis blues this Saturday

More than a Meal Fundraiser

A fundraiser for the More Than A Meal program will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Rooster’s Blues House on the Square. The fundraiser will feature two-for-one drink specials and all-you-can-eat catfish. Donations will be accepted at the door. Those unable to attend can mail in a donation to PO Box 1880 Oxford, MS 38655. More Than A Meal is a program in which a group of churches have banded together to offer those in need a free meal and other services every Tuesday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Stone Center. (September 12, 2010)

Eddie Wayne Vance Band to rock Rooster’s this Saturday

OXFORD TOWN – Local musician Eddie Wayne Vance and his band are set to play Rooster’s Blues House on Saturday, July 31. The young and edgy jazz band has been tearing up the region with its high-performance show featuring Vance and his saxophone.
