  • Laverne B. Stewart — 99, died Thursday, July 17, 2014, at Oxford Health and Rehab. Services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of Waller Funeral Home in Oxford. Burial will follow in New El Bethel Cemetery. Visitation will be held for two hours prior to the service at the funeral home.
  • Bobby Gene Stone — 74, died Wednesday, July 16, 2014, at the Mississippi State Veterans Home in Oxford. Services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday in the Henry Chapel of Seven Oaks Funeral Home in Water Valley. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.
  • Susan Clark Tutor — 60, died Tuesday, July 15, 2014, at Methodist University Hospital in Memphis. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at Ray-Nowell Funeral Home–Senatobia Chapel. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
  • Martha Lee Reed Vinograd— 89, died Wednesday, July 16, 2014, at St. David’s North Austin Medical Center, Austin, Texas. The burial will be in Marlborough Cemetery in Alliance, Ohio.  A memorial service will be held from 3 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, July 30, at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Oxford.
  • Robert Gene Williams — 55, died Thursday at Methodist University Hospital in Memphis. Arrangements are incomplete with Serenity-Martin Funeral Home of Oxford.

  • Laverne Rhynes Allen — 78, died Thursday, April 24, 2014. Services were held Sunday at Pate-Jones Funeral Home in Senatobia. Burial followed in Free Springs Cemetery in Harmontown.
  • Rosa May Padgete Beam — 80, died Saturday, April 26, 2014, at her home in Water Valley. The family is planning a private memorial service at a later date. Seven Oaks Funeral Home of Water Valley is in charge of arrangements.
  • Carol Gossett Kornegay — 64, died Friday, April 25, 2014, in Cherokee Village, Ark. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Delay Baptist Church in Lafayette County. Burial will follow in the Delay Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Seven Oaks Funeral Home in Water Valley.
  • Helen Reid Moore — 87, died Friday, April 25, 2014, at her home. Services will be held at 2 this afternoon at First Baptist Church in Senatobia.   • Ruby Ann King Taylor — 98, died Saturday, April 26, 2014, at Yalobusha General Nursing Home in Water Valley. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at First United Methodist Church in Water Valley. Burial will follow in the Pine Flat Methodist Church Cemetery in Lafayette County.   • Esther Baker Mize — 85, died Saturday, May 18, 2013, at her home in Oxford. Service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at North Oxford Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Oxford Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4 until 7 this evening at Waller Funeral Home in Oxford and for 30 minutes prior to the service Tuesday at the church.
  • Loyd M. Myles — 87, died Saturday, May 18, 2013, in the Golden Living Center in Batesville. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Wells Funeral Home Chapel in Batesville. Burial will follow in Bethel Cemetery in Enid. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

  • Clifton L. Green — 73, died Monday, Dec. 3, 2012, in Mobile, Ala. Service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Friday at Riemann Family Funeral Home in Biloxi.
