LeVere, Mize tag team Oxford this Saturday

OXFORD TOWN – Cheyenne Marie Mize and Amy LaVere (pictured) will share a bill this Saturday (March 12) at Proud Larry’s, one of Oxford’s most beloved music venues. Mize, based out of Louisville, Ky., and Memphian LaVere, are guaranteed to bring a classic dose of folk music to Oxford and the Proud Larry’s stage this Saturday night. Doors for the show open at 7 p.m. and music is set to begin at 8. Those Darlins return to Oxford

Proud Larry’s hosts hard-hitting Southern rock Jan. 8

Songwriters unite for end of fall series

Oxford Songwriters Association will host a special Troubadour Lounge at 9 tonight at Proud Larry’s to close out the fall season. Alejandro’s Back!

OXFORD TOWN – Alejandro Escovedo returns to Oxford next Tuesday (Sept. 14)  for  a Larry Brown tribute set and discussion at Off Square Books at 5 p.m. followed by a full concert at Proud Larry’s later that night. Oxford EAGLE News Editor Jonathan Scott talked to Escovedo about the shows, his new album titled “Street Songs of Love” and Oxford, one of his favorite cities in which to visit and perform. “Street Songs of Love” features “high powered vocal support” from legends such as Ian Hunter of Mott the Hoople and Bruce Springsteen.
