Kites fill sky over park

Rotary Club dedicates park pavilion

The pavilion at Pat Lamar Park, donated by the Rotary Club of Oxford, is now officially in the hands of the city of Oxford
The club raised $25,000 two years ago to go toward the construction of the pavilion, designed by architect Tom Howorth.
On Tuesday, the club joined city officials at the park to dedicate the pavilion to the city. (June 2, 2010, Page 1)

‘The Grotowski Project: Pieces of Antigone’

The University of Mississippi Department of Theatre and Dance presents a work of experimental theater in two performances, Friday and Sunday, both at 6:15 p.m. in Lamar Park. The play features seven young actors and dancers and is free of charge. (April 22, 2010, Page 6)

Walking to find a cure

People from all over Oxford and Mississippi came together Saturday to fight back in the battle to conquer Multiple Sclerosis with a walk at Lamar Park to raise money for a cure and assist those battling the disease. (March 29, 2010, Page 3A)

Walk MS

The Alabama-Mississippi Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society is sponsoring at three-mile walk March 27 at Oxford’s Pat Lamar Park. Participants can begin checking in at 9 a.m. and the walk starts at 10.
