  • Wilma Lee Onsby Brown — 82, died Sunday, Dec. 11, 2011. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Waller Funeral Home in Oxford. Visitation will be held for two hours prior to the service at the funeral home. A private graveside service will follow.
  • Frank Eugene Cooper — 88, died Friday, Dec. 9, 2011, at OCH Regional Medical Center in Starkville. Services were held this morning in the chapel of Welch Funeral Home in Starkville. Graveside services will be at 2:30 this afternoon in St. Peters Cemetery in Oxford.
  • Hubert Dunn — died today in Memphis. Arrangements are incomplete with Seven Oaks Funeral Home in Water Valley.
  • Nellie Dean Lancaster Edwards — 87, died Thursday, Dec. 8, 2011, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississippi in Oxford. Services were held Saturday at Shady Grove Methodist Church in Banner. Burial followed in the church cemetery. Parker Memorial Funeral Home in Bruce was in charge of the arrangements.
  • Dickey Laver Gray — 64, died Friday, Dec. 9, 2011, at his residence. Services will be held at 2 this afternoon at Spring Hill Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Spring Hill in Waterford.
  • Betty Stone — died today in Southaven. Arrangements are incomplete with Seven Oaks Funeral Home of Water Valley.

  • Margaret Amelia Curbow — 50, died Monday, Nov. 7, 2011, at her home near Oxford. A memorial service will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. in the Coleman Funeral Home Chapel in Oxford.
  • Louise White Gooch — 88, died this morning at the Yalobusha Nursing Home in Water Valley. Arrangements are incomplete with Waller Funeral Home of Oxford.
  • Bobby C. Hamblin — 67, died Monday, Nov. 7, 2011, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississippi in Oxford. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Parker Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Bruce. Burial will follow in the Oak Springs Cemetery in Derma. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 this evening at the funeral home.
  • Corrine Robbins — 91, died this morning at Graceland Nursing Home in Pontotoc. Arrangements are incomplete with Waller Funeral Home of Oxford.
  • Dr. Clayton Richard Rowland — 68, died Sunday, Nov. 6, 2011, in Richmond, Va. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church in Oxford. Burial will follow in Oxford Memorial Cemetery in Oxford. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the service at the church.
  • Mavis Watkins — 81, died Friday, Nov. 4, 2011, at the Community Hospice in Verona. Services were held Monday at Rocky Hill Church of God. Burial followed in the church cemetery. Milling Funeral Home of Sebastopol was in charge of arrangements.

  • Bernice Easley Embry — 96, died Wednesday, March 30, 2011, at the Calhoun Health Services Nursing Home in Calhoun City. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Parker Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Bruce, with Elder Herman Clark and son Robert Embry officiating. Burial will follow in the Bruce Cemetery.   • Charles Gregory Thomas — 41, died Wednesday, Dec. 1, 2010, at his home in Fairhope, Ala. A Celebration of Life was held Sunday at All Saints Episcopal Church in Grenada, followed by burial at Woodlawn Cemetery. An additional memorial service was held at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Daphne, Ala., this morning. Garner-Harper Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
