Off Square Books

Oxonian Julie Cantrell publishes first novel

OXFORD TOWN – Oxford author Julie Cantrell (shown here with her dog, Ellie) just completed her first novel titled “Into the Free.” The inspiring new book is set for a release date of Feb. 1 and Off Square Books is celebrating by hosting a launch party on Tuesday, Jan. 31, at 5 p.m. The party will feature a conversation with Cantrell, champagne and, well, chocolate. The photographs of Cantrell scattered throughout this issue (including the cover) were taken by Oxord Town music writer/phoptographer Kate Anthony who had instructions to take shots of Cantrell “that screamed Oxford.” Don’t miss the genesis of a great writing career next Tuesday at Off Square Books. Everyone is invited to drop in, meet Cantrell and share in the ultimate combo; chocolate, champagne and prose.
