Making Highway 30 intersection safer a positive move

Those who travel Highway 30 coming to, and going from, Oxford may have come upon an accident at the intersection with county roads 215 and 217 about a mile east of town. Moves by the Mississippi Department of Transportation, including adding turning lanes, appear to be helping make the intersection safer for all who travel those roads. (November 14, 2014, Page 4A)

Neighbor enters smoking house to bring woman to safety

Tonia Adams was driving home Wednesday when she saw smoke come out her neighbor’s home on CR 206, off Highway 30. Adams was able to help the woman, 89, safely out of the house that was destroyed by a fire that started on her stove. (January 27, 2012, Page 1A)
