That’s just one of several recommendations outlines in the recently released report from the Access to Justice Commission which summarizes findings of five public hearings held around Mississippi.
The new exhibition “Figurative Sculpture: Mississippi Roots” includes work by well-known sculptors including Bill Beckwith of Taylor, who has done bronzes of B.B. King and William Faulkner; Bill Brady, deceased, of Columbia who did work of William Faulkner; Leon Koury of Greenville; Ben Watts of Columbia; Eric Johnsen from the Gulf Coast; and Floyd Shaman of Cleveland. The museum is located at 1608 Highway 82 West in Greenwood. The exhibit runs through April 18. (March 23, 2010)
