  • Jennifer Smith — 26, died Wednesday at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. Arrangements are incomplete with Waller Funeral Home.

  • Myrtle Melissa Kitchens — 76, died Sunday, Dec. 19, 2010, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Collierville. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Waller Funeral Home in Oxford. Burial will follow in Shiloh Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 11:30 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
  • Peggy De’Ette Griffin Pate — 72, died Sunday, Dec. 19, 2010, at the Yalobusha General Nursing Home in Water Valley. Services will be held  at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Broom Chapel near Coffeeville. Burial will follow in the Broom Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 this evening at Garner-Harper Funeral Home in Coffeeville.
  • La’Quarius Mar’Shon Rowsey — one month, died Saturday, Dec. 18, 2010. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Yocona-Northwell Cemetery in Taylor. Serenity-Martin Funeral Home of Oxford is in charge of arrangements.
  • Lois Evelyn Wright Ruth — 101, died Monday, Dec. 20, 2010, at the Quitman County Hospital in Marks. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Kimbro Funeral Home in Marks. Burial will follow in Lambert Cemetery in Lambert. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
  • John Alvis Sides — 70, died Saturday, Dec. 18, 2010, at Baptist DeSoto-Southaven. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Serenity Funeral Home Chapel in Holly Springs. Burial will follow in Little Hope Cemetery in Faulkner. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 this evening at the funeral home.
  • Annie Mae Greene Smith — 89, died Sunday, Dec. 19, 2010, at her home in Oxford. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the First Presbyterian Church in Oxford. Burial will follow in Oxford Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be held prior to the service from noon until 2 in the Fellowship Hall of First Presbyterian Church.   • Hezzie Wright Jr. — 67, died in Shreveport, La. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Everdale Baptist Church on Calhoun Street in Water Valley. Belle Memorial Funeral Home of Bruce is in charge of arrangements.

  • Lourette Griffin Harrington — 87, died Saturday, Dec. 4, 2010, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. Services were held this morning at the Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church in Woodland. Burial followed in the Pleasant Ridge Cemetery. Houston Funeral Home of Houston was in charge of arrangements.
  • Guy B. Perkins — 75, died Friday, Dec. 3, 2010, at his home in Water Valley. Services were held this morning in the Henry Chapel of Seven Oaks Funeral Home in Water Valley. Burial followed at the Black Jack Cemetery in Panola County.
  • Charles Gregory Thomas — 41, died Wednesday, Dec. 1, 2010, at his home in Fairhope, Ala. A Celebration of Life was held Sunday at All Saints Episcopal Church in Grenada, followed by burial at Woodlawn Cemetery. An additional memorial service was held at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Daphne, Ala., this morning. Garner-Harper Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

  • Charles Gregory Thomas — 41, died Wednesday, Dec. 1, 2010, at his home in Fairhope, Ala. A Celebration of Life will be held at 3 this afternoon at All Saints Episcopal Church in Grenada, followed by burial at Woodlawn Cemetery.  Visitation will precede the service from 1:30 to 3 at the church. An additional memorial service will be held at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Daphne, Ala., on Monday at 11 a.m. with visitation beginning at 10 before the service.
