The Oxford Park Commission and Oxford Film Festival will host the final “Movie Night” in the parks of the summer this week. The movie, “Field of Dreams,” will be screened Friday at FNC Sports Complex.
The film is free due to sponsorships by Newks, the Ford Center for the Performing Arts, Oxford Printwear and Oxford Orthopedics and Sports Medicine.
Live music will be performed before the film is shown. Music is sponsored by the Yoknapatawpha Arts Council. On Friday, Donovan McCain and the Troubadour Band will provide the live music.
Attendees can bring their lawn chairs, blankets and movie pals to enjoy a night of free entertainment. The movie will start at dusk. For more information, visit www.oxfordparkcommission.com. (July 29, 2010)
