Sight In Day

The Lafayette County Law Enforcement Officer’s Association will host a sight in day at the F.D. “Buddy East” Training Facility from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday. Attendees are asked to bring their hunting rifles (no automatic weapons) and site them in preparation for hunting season.

The event is open to the public, but those under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Eye and ear protection will be provided to those who need it. While weapons must be unloaded when brought to the facility, attendees are asked to bring ammunition with them. Targets will also be provided. The training facility is located at 60 CR 3087. To get there, take Highway 6 West to County Road 309, and follow the road until it turns to gravel and bear left. (October 5, 2010)
