- Eric Ballew — 59, of Atoka, Tenn., died Saturday, April 30, 2011, at his home. A visitation was held Monday at the Covington Funeral Home.
- Murry Paul Wait — 79, died Sunday, May 1, 2011, at Calhoun Health Services Nursing Home in Calhoun City. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the First Baptist Church of Abbeville. Waller Funeral Home of Oxford is in charge of arrangements.
