County Road 300

Traffic calming policy OK’d; put in place

The Oxford Board of Aldermen approved a new city Traffic Calming Policy that will allow neighborhoods to request traffic calming measures on their roads and overturned a decision by the Oxford Planning Commission and approved the site plan for The Domain, to be built on County Road 300, off Old Taylor Road. (April 17, 2013, Page 6)

City may annex more land

The city of Oxford is looking into annexing about 150 acres east of County Road 300, south of where Baptist will be putting its new hospital, to help provide another through-way from South Lamar to Old Taylor Road. Pet owners call for end to shootings

When Sarah Carey brought her dog Harrison to see Dr. Jennifer Stobbe after he was shot at close range with a handgun, she didn’t know how much she and the veterinarian had in common. Stobbe’s cat, Spencer had just been shot with a pellet gun. Both women are looking for answers and are hoping to stop the cruelty. (November 16, 2011, Page 1)
