‘Tax Freedom Day’ here for Mississippians

Saturday was “Tax Freedom Day” in Mississippi — the day when the taxpayers in our state have collectively earned enough money to pay their federal, state and local tax bill for the year. We’re glad to see that our states is one of the first to reach that mark, but it does come early because of some problems we’d probably rather overcome such as low incomes and low property value in many areas. (April 5, 2015, Page 4A)

Expect more of the same in 2013
