  • Joe E. Cappleman — 54, died Wednesday at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. Arrangements are incomplete with Waller Funeral Home.
  • Tiger E. Crawley — 87, died Tuesday, April 19, 2011, at the State Veterans Home in Oxford. Services with military honors were held this morning at Pilgrims Rest Baptist Church-Batesville. Burial followed at Pilgrims Rest Cemetery. Wells Funeral Home of Batesville was in charge of arrangements.
  • Hayes Lynch Jr. — 77, died Saturday at Community Hospice in Verona. Services will be held at noon Saturday at Springfield MB Church in Abbeville. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held from 2 to 6 p.m. Friday at J.F. Brittenum & Son Funeral Home in Holly Springs and for one hour prior to the service at the church.
  • Inez Parks — 100, died Thursday at The Windsor Place in Columbus. Arrangements are incomplete with Waller Funeral Home.
  • Bryan Dennis Rikard — 42, died Monday, April 18, 2011, in Oxford. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday in the Coleman Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the College Hill Presbyterian Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 this evening at the funeral home.
  • Johnnie McCain White — 81, died Thursday, April 21, 2011, at Graceland Care Center in Oxford. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in the chapel of Waller Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Cambridge Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 until 7 this evening at the funeral home.

  • Kermit Frazier Shotts — 63, died Tuesday, March 22, 2011, in Olive Branch. A private family service was held at the University of Mississippi Chapel. Brantley Funeral Home of Olive Branch was in charge of arrangements.
  • Sallie H. Sledge — 78, died Sunday, March 27, 2011, at Primacy Healthcare & Rehab Center in Memphis. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Coleman Funeral Home Chapel in Oxford. Burial will follow in Bellevue Cemetery on Highway 6 East outside of Oxford. Visitation will be held for three hours prior to the service at the funeral home.
  • Samuel Swinney — 83, died Tuesday, March 22, 2011, in Tulsa. A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Rose Hill Memorial Park in Tulsa. Visitation will be from noon to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Reynolds Funeral Service in Tulsa.
  • Mary Nina Walton — 77, died Friday, March 25, 2011, at Landmark of DeSoto Care Center in Horn Lake. Services were held Sunday in the Henry Chapel of Seven Oaks Funeral Home in Water Valley. Burial followed in the Broadstreet Cedar Grove Cemetery in Yalobusha County.

  • Q.T. Hardin Smith — 84, died Tuesday, March, 22, 2011, at her home in Etta. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Christian Rest United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in Christian Rest Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 5 until 7 p.m. at Waller Funeral Home and again for one hour prior to the service at the church.
  • Earnestine “Teen” Pearson Williams — 75, died Wednesday, March 16, 2011. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at East St. Peters M.B. Church in Oxford. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held from 1 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the Serenity-Martin Funeral Chapel in Oxford, with family present from 4:30 to 7.

  • George Edwin Denley — 95, died Thursday, March 17, 2011. Services were held Sunday at the First Baptist Church Coffeeville with the Rev. Truman Scarborough and the Rev. Donnie Stewart officiating. Burial followed in the Coffeeville Cemetery. Garner-Harper Funeral Home of Coffeeville was in charge of arrangements.
  • Guinn Leroy “G. L.” Tatum — died Thursday, March 17, 2011, at his residence. Services were held Sunday at the Union West Baptist Church, with Bro. Billy Childs officiating. Burial followed in Orwood Cemetery. Seven Oaks Funeral Home in Water Valley was in charge of arrangements.
  • Dorothy Ann Tidwell — 68, died Friday, March 18, 2011, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississippi in Oxford. Visitation will be held for two hours prior to the service at the funeral home.
  • Janie Lee McCullar Toole — 97, died Friday, March 18, 2011, at Tri-Lakes Medical Center. Services were held Sunday at the Oakland Methodist Church, with the Rev. Clay Baker and the Rev.
