Bickerstaff Drive

New hospital moves forward

Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississippi is moving forward with the construction of its new regional $300 million facility and has completed two of five conditions put on its site plan by the Oxford Planning Commission, which included the final design of the connection at Belk Boulevard and Old Taylor Road. (October 15, 2013, Page 1, 2)

Bickerstaff/Frontage planned to open for foot traffic

City officials are planning on putting gravel down on Frontage Road/Bickerstaff Drive where a sewer pipe burst last week creating a 40-foot hole in the road that’s been closed since. The gravel is expected to be put down on Friday so pedestrians living in nearby complexes can at least walk along the road. (September 12, 2012, Page 14)
