Dream On!

Azalea Gardens is hosting Dream On! at 11 a.m. Friday to celebrate National Sleep Awareness Month. Guest Speaker Jason Phillips from the Sleep Disorders Center at Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississippi will talk about common sleep disorders and give tips on how to get a better night’s sleep. (May 12, 2010)

Alzheimer’s Caregiver Group

Alzheimer’s Caregiver Group

The Alzheimer’s and Related Disorders Caregiver support group will meet at 7 p.m. Monday at the Azalea Gardens Assisted Living Community, 100 Azalea Drive. Council on Aging

The Council on Aging, an informal group that meets monthly to provide a network of communication exchange for those who work with and on behalf of our older citizens, will meet at 9 a.m. Thursday at Azalea Gardens Senior Care Community for coffee and an information exchange. All service agency providers and interested volunteers throughout the area are encouraged to attend these monthly networking meetings. Kountry Krafters Homemakers Club

The Kountry Krafters Homemakers Club will meet at noon Friday at Azalea Gardens for lunch and socializing. All members and their friends are invited. The club will also meet at 11 a.m. Monday at the Lafayette County Extension Service for a one-hour workshop. The group’s regular meeting will follow at noon. Breast cancer support

The Reach for Recovery support group meets the first Monday of each month at Azalea Gardens. Most of the members, about 30, attend the meetings to socialize and receive education through written materials and guest speakers. About five members are “visitors,” who are trained and certified through the American Cancer Society to visit or call new cancer patients. Each meeting begins with a potluck supper. (March 5, 2010, Page 1A)

Woman’s Forum

The members of the Woman’s Forum will meet at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Azalea Gardens. Hostesses will be Louise Ragland and Nora Dalton. (March 5, 2010)
