C.A.R.E. Support, Exchange Group

The Caring for Aging Relatives Effectively, or C.A.R.E., support and exchange group will meet at noon Wednesday at Azalea Gardens Assisted Living Community. This is an informal luncheon that provides those in caring situations an opportunity to exchange ideas, resources and concerns with others. A light lunch is provided compliments of Azalea Gardens. Council on Aging

The Council on Aging is an informal group that meets monthly to provide a network of communication exchange for those who work with and on behalf of our older citizens. The group will meet at 9 a.m. Thursday at Azalea Gardens Senior Care Community for coffee and an information exchange. All service agency providers and interested volunteers throughout the area are encouraged to attend this networking meeting. Grief Support Group

North Mississippi Hospice will sponsor a grief support group meeting from noon to 1 p.m. Thursday at Azalea Gardens in Oxford. A light lunch will be provided. The meeting is open to anyone who has experienced a loss. For more information, call 234-0140 . (August 10, 2010)

Alzheimer’s Caregiver Support Group

The Alzheimer’s and Related Disorders Caregiver Support Group will meet at 7 p.m. Monday at the Azalea Gardens Senior Care Community, 100 Azalea Drive. Dianne Arnold, program specialist with the state Department of Mental Health, will provide an update on respite/day services in Oxford. The meetings are open to all caregivers interested in those with Alzheimer’s and related memory loss disorders.
