Aurora Colo.

Letters to the Editor

Jim Shollenberger writes to say that the language in the Second Amendment is pretty clear when it comes to guns and a militia, Harry P. Owens writes to say that we need to move forward with reasonable gun regulations and David Smith writes to say that a recent editorial cartoon distorted the truth and misinformed readers about tax increases. (January 18, 2013, Page 4A)

We must do better than ‘I don’t know’

Editor Don Whitten writes about the school shooting in Newtown, Conn., and points out that we, as a society, still haven’t come up with the answers that will help prevent such senseless killings. That, Whitten writes, cannot continue to be an acceptable response. (December 17, 2012, Page 4A)

Scott tells the story of Steve Barton and Ethan Rodriguez-Torrent, who were visitors in the Oxford community for a couple of days on their tour across the country that included a stop in Aurora. (August 3, 2012, Page 4A)
