Skyhawks no match for No. 16 Rebels

No late-game heroics were needed Wednesday night at Oxford-University Stadium.

In Game 2 the Ole Miss Rebels rallied from an early 5-0 deficit to defeat the LSU Tigers 9-8 in 11 innings.

UGA avoids sweep with win over Rebs

And the Sunday woes continue.

For the sixth week in a row, the No. 17 Ole Miss Rebels were unable to close out a weekend series on a high note, falling to the Georgia Bulldogs 6-3 at Foley Field on Sunday.

The Rebels won the first two games of the three-game series, 4-1 on Friday and 4-3 in 13 innings on Saturday. (April 12, 2010, Page 1B)

Rebels hold on for 4-1 victory at Georgia

ATHENS, Ga. — On the heels of being named Baseball America‘s Midseason Player of the Year, Ole Miss ace Drew Pomeranz didn’t disappoint.

The junior left-hander pitched yet another masterful game, leading Ole Miss to a 4-1 victory over the Georgia Bulldogs at Foley Field tonight.

Mental errors doom Rebels on Sunday

It’s beginning to sound like a broken record, mainly because it is.
