Rebels play complete game in latest win

One of the most complete games of the season couldn’t have come at a better time for the Ole Miss Rebels Friday evening. Facing the Memphis Tigers in the second round of the Men’s National Invitation Tournament, the No. 2 seeded Rebels played well in all phases in what was arguably their most complete game of the year at C.M. “Tad” Smith Coliseum. (March 22, 2010, Page 8)

Rebels defeat Memphis in NIT 2nd round

Five players scored in double figures to help lead the Ole Miss Rebels to a 90-81 win over the Memphis Tigers in a National Invitation Tournament game Friday evening at C.M. “Tad” Smith Coliseum. The win advanced the No. 2 seed Rebels to the third round of the NIT on Tuesday against the winner of Saturday’s game between Texas Tech and Jacksonville. The winner of that third-round game will advance to New York for the NIT Final Four.

Rebels fall to No. 15 Tennessee

NASHVILLE — Ole Miss’ chances of making the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2002 took a considerable hit Friday in the quarterfinals of the Southeastern Conference Tournament. Led by the outside shooting of Cameron Tatum, and another double-double effort from Wayne Chism, No. 15 Tennessee defeated the Rebels 76-65 in front of a crowd of 19,123 at the Bridgestone Arena. Rebels down LSU in home finale

Ole Miss remained in the hunt to tie Mississippi State for a share of the SEC’s Western Division title with a 72-59 win over LSU Thursday night at C.M. “Tad” Smith Coliseum.

Chris Warren led four Ole Miss players in double figures with 22 points, while Zach Graham came off the bench to score 16 points. The Rebels earned their first sweep of LSU since 1999 and also secured another 20 win season for coach Andy Kennedy, who now has been a part of three of the eight seasons where the Rebels have won 20 or more games. (March 4, 2010, Page 6A)
